NOT OF THIS WORLD

I grew tired of living my life inconsistently,

For so long my heart had been wondering endlessly,

On the pleasures of this world,
even though none gave any satisfaction to my soul.
 

Then I remembered a man
A man who promised me something,
 I could never thought possible

He promised me eternal love and eternal life

If only I was to heed his voice
And open the door when he knocked

A man who loved me so much
That he left his royal throne in heaven

And took a human form 
Just so that he could save me from a life of agony in hell

He showed me that I too can follow his footsteps

If only I picked my cross and follow him

He promised that no height or depth
Or anything else in this creation

Will ever take his love away from me

And so today I fix my eye not to what is seen

But to what is unseen

For what is seen is temporary but what is unseen is eternal

And so I am a new creation

The old has gone and the new has come

And so when the grass withers and the flower fades

The word of the lord will live forever

And so will I, if only I follow his world

NOTHINGNESS

I search deep within myself for an emotion
But all I feel is emptiness
A large room filled echoes
Of past memories and occurrences
I feel no love I feel no hate
Just an amused bystander
Silently watching people make stupid administrations
To the elusive illusion of love
Don’t they ever get it?
Don’t they understand that love is a mirage?
A shinny horizon that promptly disappears
Every time you think you have reached it?
A mist of vapor in a hot humid day
That quickly vaporizes and can never quench thirst.
What I feel is emptiness, utter nothingness
For I loved once
And my heart was broken
Into a million little pieces
And so now, am not heartless
But just a girl with a numb heart
